Gucci, Blind for Love

Went to an very interesting exhibition few months ago right after my very first business trip aboard.

This year, Gucci and A Magazine Curated By celebrated Alessandro Michele’s (the current creative director of Gucci) issue with a exhibitions featuring female artists. The exhibitions were only showed in three cities in Asia which were Hong Kong, Beijing, and Taipei. Under the theme of “Blind for Love”, Alesseandro collaborated the show with friends. The one I went in Taipei was collaborated with a filmmaker Gia Coppola (granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola, the director of The Godfather). The show not only brings the images of magazine into the real life, which they called it 2D to 3D. It’s kind of like a different version of VR’s technique.😬 This style of storyteling always makes me feel excited because  it is no longer just a thing that’s printed on papers, and I can even feel the temperature of it. Moreover, lots of elements we saw in Gucci’s collection could be found at the show.

This show was hold at Huashan 1914 Creative Park on May 13th to May 24th, 2017. Besides, if you RSVP online, you can also have a personal guide to walk you through the show to understand deeper insights of each art piece. The show was completely free. I hope there are more events like this shown in Taiwan. Hope to see more brands taking their efforts on telling brands’ cultures to the public.
